I’ve been listening to Jen Shade on 105.7 the X talk about Dr. Kostow’s weight loss program for weeks. I have struggled pretty much most of my life with weight issues. I have tried every “fad” diet out there and had no luck. I knew I had to make some changes. I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, no energy and not sleeping. I always thought of me being a healthy eater but I knew something wasn’t right because my numbers kept getting worse and I wasn’t losing any weight.
When I met with Dr. Kostow and he explained the program, it clicked. I was like “this is what I need to do”. Within the first two weeks, I felt like a new person. Eight weeks into the program, I eat more than I ever have, I never seem to have those hunger pains, and cravings for sugars and carbs are pretty much gone. I love my weekly meetings with Dr. Kostow and Bonnie. They are a huge support system and are always there for you and cheering you on!
This program becomes a lifestyle change with food. I feel better than I have in years. I have a ton of energy all day with no crashes as you have with some programs. You start to understand what you have been doing to your body and why you felt the way you did for so long once you get rid of those toxins and get clean by healthy eating.

I was unhappy with my weight and the way I looked and felt. I was tired all the time, felt sluggish, and no longer enjoyed doing things socially. I love to play with my grandchildren but I had a very hard time getting up and down to play games on the floor, which they love doing. I also love to take long walks for exercise but would have pain in my hips at night that would keep me awake if I did the walks. I was also on heart medication, and my primary care physician was going to up the dosage of my Lipitor.
I weighed 236 lbs. After 12 weeks on the program, I dropped down to 196 lbs; that’s a loss of 40 lbs! Within the first week of starting the program, I felt awake and full of energy. I had trouble sleeping at night—now I sleep through the night. I have no problem now getting up and down on the floor to play with my grandkids. My shortness of breath going upstairs is now gone!

I am one of Dr. Kostow's Biggest Losers after finishing the 24-week Candida Program. When I first walked into his office, I was obese, borderline Type 2 diabetic and suffered from sleep apnea and hypertension. For me, weight loss has been an uphill climb. At times, I felt like Sisyphus, from Greek Mythology, paying for my sin of gluttony. Through the past 25 years of trying multiple diets with no long-term success, I decided to try this program. At Week 10 of the program, I found my chin again, and by Week 18, my wedding band fit like the day I got it 29 years ago. At the end of my program, after losing 115 pounds, my blood pressure has dropped 40 points. I'm getting a better night's sleep, have more energy, don't dread the heat and humidity, and I have finally stopped snoring.

My reason for starting this program was when I heard Dr. Kostow’s dedication to helping people lose weight. His staff are very caring! I have had back pain and an Achilles injury.
